ITSC SECURE SOLUTIONS WELCOMES KATIE HELWIG AS THE COMPANY’S FIRST
DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

FALLS CHURCH, VIRGINIA (September 12, 2019): Katie Helwig joins ITSC Secure Solutions (ITSC) as the company’s first Director of Strategic Partnerships. Helwig’s role includes Deputy Program Director, Program Manager for A² Technical Solutions and Deputy Program Manager for ACQ Management, LLC (ACQ).

ITSC is structured to rapidly respond and deliver world class products and services. “We are building strategic partnerships with small, medium and large businesses to provide the best collaborative solution to the customer,” shares ITSC Co-Owner, Judy Haberman. “Katie is the perfect person to bring this concept to fruition,” shares Haberman.

Previously, Helwig led the corporate development team at AFCEA International, helping businesses leverage the industry association to learn, network and grow. During her tenure, corporate membership reached a 5-year high by increasing the value proposition for members.

“Katie’s reputation for mentoring businesses to create visibility and navigate the federal contracting process is second to no one,” said ITSC President, Patricia Kee. “The mission will be the same, with the addition of potential teaming arrangements to compete for work,” states Kee.

“Katie will be leading the charge in formal and informal partnerships to create win/win opportunities to keep the small business government contracting community thriving,” adds ITSC CEO, Ashley Kee.

The first Joint Venture (JV) between ITSC and i10 is A² Technical Solutions. The JV brings together subject matter expertise in agile development and cyber security, backed with over 10 years of experience in the government contracting arena. The JV offers 8(a) and HUBZone sole source accessibility to industry partners and government customers.

The second JV, ACQ, brings together ITSC and JAM Systems (JAMS) to offer subject matter expert (SME) support for program management, acquisition, contract, budget, finance, administrative and professional services. The JV holds small business designations to include SBA Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and 8(a) sole source accessibility.

“Due to extraordinary mentorship from a variety of sources, ITSC has created a scalable infrastructure to jump from 15 to 140 employees (a 933% growth rate) to migrate from an exclusive sub-contractor role to managing five prime contracts,” explains Kee. “We believe in paying it forward and have established two Small Business Administration (SBA) all-small mentor-protégé relationships and created two SBA JVs with the protégés: i10 and JAMS,” added Kee.

The DoD recognized the Missile Defense Agency Mentor-Protégé team of Tec-Masters Inc. and ITSC with the coveted Nunn-Perry Award for 2018. The award will be presented in fall 2019.  “With guidance from our mentors, including a strong relationship with our lending partner, Live Oak Bank, we’ve been successful in acquiring a company, completing a corporate name change; obtaining ISO certifications; maintaining compliance with ITAR and winning GSA schedules and ID/IQs, including Hawaii NASPO ValuePoint PASS.,” stated Kee.

ITSC Secure Solutions is a privately held, Women-Owned Small Business with work in Alabama, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Texas, Virginia, Washington, DC and Puerto Rico. The company has established subject matter expertise in the areas of acquisition, contract management, cybersecurity and engineering support.
